AI Summer Camp at AUE: Unlocking the Future for Young Minds
About The Workshop
The 2-day AI summer camp at the American University in the Emirates (AUE) is designed to immerse students as young as 13 – 21 years old in the exciting world of artificial intelligence. Featuring engaging workshops, hands-on training sessions, and interactive competitions, the camp offers a comprehensive introduction to AI across various domains such as text, image, video, music, fashion, and culinary arts. The camp takes place at the AUE campus in Dubai Academic City on August 20th– 21st, 2024 from 10 am to 3 pm. Participants will benefit from expert insights, collaborative learning, and creative performances, culminating in an awards ceremony to celebrate outstanding achievements.
Day 1
- Check-in and Networking
- Light refreshments and a chance to network.
- Speaker: Prof. Asma Salman, overview of the camp’s objectives.
- Speaker: Dr. Hikmat Beaini, detailed breakdown of the 2-day agenda.
- Activity: Students perform songs created using AI.
- Activity: A dance performance choreographed with the help of AI.
- Lunch / Refreshments and informal discussions.
- Topic: AI in Text
- Interactive workshop on text-based AI applications, followed by a Kahoot competition to test knowledge.
- Topic: AI in Image
- Practical training on image-based AI applications, followed by a Kahoot competition.
- Topic: AI in Video
- Workshop on video-based AI applications, with a Kahoot competition to conclude the session.

Day 2
- Activity: Light breakfast and networking opportunity.
- Topic: AI in Music
- Workshop on music-based AI applications, followed by a Kahoot competition.
- Topic: AI in Fashion
- Training on fashion AI applications, with a Kahoot competition.
- Topic: AI in the Kitchen / Food Recipes
- Workshop on AI applications in culinary arts, followed by a Kahoot competition.
- Topic: AI in Wellbeing/Health
- Workshop on AI applications in dietary, sports, and health, followed by a Kahoot competition.
